Digital Product Terms
Digital Product Terms
Last updated: 22 August 2026

These Digital Product Terms apply to digital products supplied by Semo’s Consultancy Services (“SCS”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including The Business Checklist, workbooks, checklists, templates, guides and other downloadable or electronically supplied resources.
These terms should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Access and Delivery
Digital products are supplied electronically. Delivery may take place through:
-
An immediate download following purchase.
-
A download link sent by email.
-
Access through a customer account or member area.
-
Another electronic delivery method stated on the relevant product page.
Access will normally be provided once payment has been successfully processed.
Please ensure that the email address and other information supplied during checkout are correct.
If you have completed your purchase but cannot access your digital product, please contact SCS so that we can assist.

2. Licence and Permitted Use
Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing an SCS digital product gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product for your own personal or internal business purposes.
For example, you may:
-
Download and use your purchased copy.
-
Complete worksheets and templates for your own business.
-
Print a copy for your own personal or internal business use where the product format permits this.
-
Refer back to the resource as your business develops.
Purchasing a digital product does not transfer ownership of the product or its intellectual property rights to you.

3. What You Must Not Do
Unless you have received prior written permission from SCS, you must not:
-
Share or distribute the digital product or download link with another person.
-
Upload the product to a shared drive, website, social media platform, file-sharing service or other location where others can access it.
-
Copy or reproduce the product for distribution.
-
Resell, sublicense, rent or commercially distribute the product.
-
Claim the product, design, content or concepts as your own.
-
Remove or alter copyright, branding or intellectual-property notices.
-
Modify, reproduce or repackage the product for resale or distribution.
-
Use the product to create a substantially similar product for commercial sale or distribution.
-
Make the product available as part of another paid service, course, membership, package or resource without written permission from SCS.
If you would like to purchase copies or access for a team, organisation, programme or multiple users, please contact SCS regarding appropriate permissions or licensing.

4. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual-property rights in SCS digital products — including their written content, structure, worksheets, graphics, branding and original materials — belong to Semo’s Consultancy Services or the relevant rights holder.
This includes SCS-created materials such as The Business Checklist and associated original SCS content.
Your purchase provides permission to use the product in accordance with these terms. It does not give you ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

5. Digital Downloads and Cancellation Rights
Where a digital product is supplied immediately after purchase, eligible UK consumers will be asked to:
-
Expressly agree that supply of the digital content may begin immediately; and
-
Acknowledge that once supply begins, the applicable 14-day statutory cancellation right will be lost.
UK rules require both the customer's agreement to immediate supply and acknowledgement of the loss of the cancellation right before an immediate download begins. This information should also be included in the contract confirmation.
Where the required consent and acknowledgement have been obtained and supply has begun, the digital product will generally be non-refundable for change-of-mind purposes, subject to applicable law.
Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for further information.

6. Faulty or Inaccessible Digital Products
Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights that apply where digital content is faulty, not as described or does not otherwise meet applicable legal requirements.
For UK consumers, digital content is covered by statutory consumer protections, including remedies where digital content does not conform to the contract.
If you experience:
-
A broken or invalid download.
-
A corrupted file.
-
Material content missing from your purchase.
-
Another technical problem preventing reasonable use of the product.
please contact SCS so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, provide a replacement, corrected access or another remedy required by law.

7. Product Information and Educational Purpose
SCS digital products are designed to provide practical information, organisation, guidance and educational support.
They do not constitute individual legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, medical or other regulated professional advice.
You remain responsible for determining whether additional professional advice is appropriate for your circumstances.

8. No Guarantee of Results
Purchasing or using an SCS digital product does not guarantee any particular business, financial, career or other outcome.
Results will depend on your individual circumstances, decisions, actions and other factors outside SCS's reasonable control.

9. Product Updates and Changes
We may occasionally correct, update or improve our digital products.
Unless expressly stated on the relevant product page, purchasing a digital product does not automatically entitle you to all future editions, revised versions or newly released products.
Where an update is included with an existing purchase, we may make it available using the original delivery method or another reasonable method.

10. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable device, internet connection and software necessary to access the product.
Any important compatibility or format information known to SCS will be provided on the relevant product page where appropriate.
For example, a product may require:
-
A PDF reader.
-
Compatible document software.
-
An e-reader or relevant application.
-
Internet access to download the original file.

11. Personal Information Entered Into Workbooks
Some SCS digital products are designed for you to enter information about yourself or your business.
You are responsible for keeping completed copies of your digital products secure, particularly where you enter confidential business, financial, login, registration or other sensitive information.
Unless a feature specifically states otherwise, information you enter locally into a downloaded workbook is not automatically transmitted to or stored by SCS.

12. Breach of These Terms
Unauthorised copying, sharing, resale or distribution may infringe SCS's intellectual-property rights.
Where we reasonably believe a digital product is being used in breach of these terms, we may take appropriate steps to protect our rights, including restricting access where technically possible and pursuing remedies available under applicable law.
