Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This policy explains how Semo’s Consultancy Services (“SCS”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles cancellations, returns, rescheduling and refunds for digital products, physical products and consultancy services.
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.
1. Digital Products
Digital products include downloadable workbooks, checklists, guides, templates and other digital resources sold by SCS.
Where digital content is supplied immediately, eligible UK consumers will be asked to expressly agree to immediate access and acknowledge that their statutory 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply of the digital content begins.
Where that consent and acknowledgement have been properly obtained, digital products are generally non-refundable once downloading, access or delivery of the digital content has begun, except where required by law.
UK rules specifically require businesses supplying immediate downloads to obtain the customer's agreement to immediate supply and acknowledgement that this means losing the 14-day cancellation right.
If a digital product is faulty, inaccessible, not as described or otherwise does not meet applicable statutory requirements, please contact us. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. UK consumers have specific statutory remedies for faulty digital content.
If you experience a technical problem accessing a digital purchase, please contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.
Further information is available in our Digital Product Terms.
2. Physical Products
For eligible physical products purchased online, UK consumers generally have the right to change their mind and notify us that they wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the product, without having to provide a reason.
After notifying us of the cancellation, you generally have a further 14 days to return the product.
Unless the product is faulty or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning the product.
Products should be returned in appropriate condition. Where the value of a product has been reduced because it has been handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect it, we may make an appropriate deduction where permitted by law.
Where a cancellation right applies, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law. This includes applicable standard delivery costs where required by law.
Certain products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights under applicable law, including some personalised or custom-made products.
Faulty or Incorrect Products
If a physical product is faulty, damaged, not as described or you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Your statutory rights relating to faulty products are separate from your change-of-mind cancellation rights and remain unaffected by this policy. UK law provides specific remedies for goods that are faulty or not as described.
3. Consultations and Bookings
The following cancellation and rescheduling rules apply to SCS 1:1 consultations, subject to applicable statutory rights:
48 hours or more before your appointment:
You may cancel your consultation and request a refund, or reschedule your appointment.
Between 24 and 48 hours before your appointment:
You may request one complimentary reschedule. The booking will generally not be eligible for a refund.
Less than 24 hours before your appointment:
The consultation will generally be non-refundable, and rescheduling is not guaranteed.
No-shows:
If you do not attend your consultation and have not provided prior notice, the consultation will generally be treated as a no-show and will be non-refundable.
Cancellation terms must be fair; UK government guidance specifically warns that excessive cancellation charges or automatic loss of upfront payments can potentially amount to unfair consumer terms.
Full details are provided in our Consultation/Booking Terms.
4. If SCS Cancels or Reschedules
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may require us to cancel or reschedule a consultation.
If SCS needs to cancel your appointment, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer you:
-
An alternative appointment; or
-
A refund of the amount paid for the affected consultation where appropriate.
You will not lose your consultation fee because SCS is unable to provide the booked appointment.
5. How to Request a Cancellation, Return or Refund
To request a cancellation, return, reschedule or refund, please contact:
Semo’s Consultancy Services
Email: semosconsultancyservices@outlook.com
Please include where applicable:
-
Your full name
-
Your order or booking reference
-
The relevant product or service
-
Whether you are requesting a cancellation, return, refund or reschedule
-
Details of any fault, damage or technical problem where relevant
We may request reasonable evidence, such as photographs of a damaged physical product, where necessary to assess the issue.
6. Refund Processing
Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed or required.
Processing times after a refund has been issued may vary depending on your bank, card provider or payment service.
For eligible UK online physical-product cancellations, statutory rules govern when refunds must be made; for example, the government states that refunds generally must be made within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
7. International Customers
SCS serves customers internationally.
Consumer rights and cancellation requirements may vary depending on where you live. Where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply to your purchase, nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict those rights.
8. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy excludes, limits or replaces rights that you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.
For UK consumers, these may include rights relating to goods, digital content and services under UK consumer legislation.
