1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Semo’s Consultancy Services (“SCS”, “we”, “us”, “our”) website and your purchase or use of our products and services.

SCS is a UK-based consultancy providing services and products to customers in the UK and internationally.

By using our website, purchasing a product or booking a consultation, you agree to these Terms together with any additional terms or policies that apply to the relevant product or service.

2. Our Services and Products

SCS provides:

  • 1:1 business consultancy services

  • 1:1 healthcare career consultancy services

  • Digital products, including checklists, workbooks, guides and other resources

  • Physical products, including printed materials and related products

Details of each product or service, including its price, description and key features, will be provided on the relevant product or booking page.

We may introduce, update or discontinue products and services from time to time. Any changes will not affect orders or bookings already accepted unless agreed with you or otherwise permitted by law.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase our products or book our consultancy services.

By placing an order or booking a consultation, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to make the purchase.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, booking a consultation or placing an order.

  • Keep any account or login information secure.

  • Use our website, products, services and materials lawfully.

  • Respect the intellectual property rights of SCS and third parties.

  • Not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, share or resell SCS materials except where expressly permitted.

You are responsible for decisions and actions you take based on information or guidance provided through our products or consultancy services.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and all SCS-created content, materials, branding, workbooks, checklists, guides, resources and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Semo’s Consultancy Services.

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property contained within it.

Where applicable, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the purchased material for your own personal or internal business purposes.

Further conditions relating specifically to downloadable products are contained in our Digital Product Terms.

6. Consultancy and No Guarantee of Results

Our consultancy services and products are designed to provide practical information, guidance, preparation and support.

We do not guarantee any particular business outcome, financial result, employment opportunity, interview outcome, promotion or other specific result.

Results depend on individual circumstances and factors outside the control of SCS.

Our products and consultancy services do not replace professional legal, financial, accounting, tax, medical, clinical or other regulated professional advice where such advice is required.

Additional conditions relating to consultations are contained in our Consultation/Booking Terms.

7. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed on the relevant product, service or checkout page and may be displayed in different currencies where available.

Unless otherwise stated, payment is required in full at the time of purchase or booking.

An order or booking may not be completed or confirmed until the required payment has been successfully processed.

You are responsible for ensuring that the payment and billing information you provide is accurate.

Any applicable delivery charges, taxes or other mandatory charges will be displayed where required before you complete your purchase.

8. Orders and Bookings

Submitting an order or booking request does not necessarily mean it has been accepted.

Where applicable, your purchase or consultation will be confirmed by an order confirmation, booking confirmation or other communication from SCS or our website platform.

If we are unable to fulfil an order or consultation after payment has been taken, we will contact you and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include an alternative arrangement or refund.

9. Refunds, Returns and Cancellations

Refunds, returns, cancellations and rescheduling are governed by the policy applicable to the type of purchase you have made.

Please refer to our:

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Digital Product Terms
Consultation/Booking Terms

These policies form part of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms or our related policies is intended to restrict any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Third-Party Services

Our website and services may rely on third-party providers, including website hosting, payment processing, booking systems, delivery providers, video conferencing platforms and other technology services.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to the provider's own terms and privacy policies.

Where appropriate, SCS is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or availability of third-party providers that are outside our reasonable control. This does not affect any responsibility SCS has to you under applicable law.

11. Availability of the Website

We aim to keep our website and digital services reasonably available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.

Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues, security reasons or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If you experience difficulty accessing a purchased digital product, please contact us so that we can assist.

12. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded or restricted under applicable consumer law.

Where SCS has failed to provide goods, digital content or services in accordance with rights that apply to you under law, your statutory remedies remain unaffected.

To the extent permitted by law, SCS will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was formed or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where you purchase from SCS wholly or mainly for business purposes, different legal rights may apply to your transaction.

UK consumer law requires consumer terms to be fair and transparent and prevents businesses from contracting out of certain statutory rights.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer residing outside England and Wales, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and rights available to you under the laws applicable in your country or place of residence.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a consumer from exercising rights relating to jurisdiction or dispute resolution that cannot lawfully be restricted.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact SCS first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable requirements.

Changes will apply from the date the updated Terms are published and will not retrospectively change the terms of a completed purchase or confirmed booking unless permitted by law or agreed with you.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
